Formaldehyde/Organic Vapor Cartridge
Use with 3M Respirators 5000, 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series, according to NIOSH approvals. When properly selected, cartridges and filters help provide protection from a variety of gases, vapors and particulate hazards. Available with 3M Service Life Indicator, an end-of-service-life indicator (ESLI) that can help users determine when to change cartridges in appropriate environments. 1.Nuisance level organic vapors refer to concentrations less than the OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection against organic vapors. 2.Nuisance level acid gases refer to concentrations less than the OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Do not use for respiratory protection against acid gases. 3.3M recommended for ozone protection up to 10 x OSHA PEL or applicable government occupational exposure limits, whichever is lower. Not NIOSH approved for use against ozone. 4.OSHA regulations require gas proof goggles be worn with half facepiece respirators when used against formaldehyde. Only 3M filters 2000 Series, 7093, 5N11 or 5P71 are approved for use with 3M 5000 Series Respirators. Cartridges on 5000 Series Respirators cannot be replaced. The 3M Filter Adapter 502 is required for use of the 2000 Series and 7093 filters with the 5000 Series Respirators and 6000 Series Cartridges. The 3M Filter Retainer 501 is required for use of the 5N11 and 5P71 prefilters with the 5000 Series Respirators. The 502 adapter cannot be reused.
